Our stories have the power to heal. Through them, we can honor ourselves, our bodies and our ancestors. The Center for Cultural Power is excited to share our conversation with filmmaker Amber J. Phillips on her debut short film “Abundance.” This film is an autobiographical story that explores the journey of Amber embodying fatness, Blackness and queerness in all its beauty and complexity.

Amber is joined by Shantrelle P. Lewis, scholar,  filmmaker and creator of the Netflix film “In Our Mothers’ Gardens” and the event is moderated by writer and cultural strategist, Kat Evasco.

Stay tuned for the next screening of "Abundance" by following Amber J. Phillips and checking out her website
