Wildfires and Migrant Communities

California is now in year-round fire season. If the record-breaking destruction and intensity of California’s recent wildfires has taught us anything, it’s that fire preparedness and response must include migrant and communities of color. Climate Woke's Layel Camargo and Reyna Amaya of The North Pole went to Santa Rosa to talk to folks affected by the 2017 North Bay Fires about their experiences on the frontlines of wildfires and how they are coping, organizing, preparing AND rebuilding.
