Black History Month: Conover
Black History informs Black Futures! Black migrant and refugee activists are putting in work in the global fight for justice. Their efforts inform the next generations of Black futures and leave behind a legacy of fierce advocacy for marginalized communities. Without the hard work of organizations like Black Alliance for Just Immigration, UndocuBlack Network, and Black LGBTQ Migrant Project - BLMP, we would not be where we are today, yet their voices and narratives are often overshadowed in social justice spaces & conversations.
This #BlackFuturesMonth, it’s more important than ever to keep Black migrant and refugee voices at the forefront. Our fight to manifest equity and construct a world of Black migrant liberation must center the leadership of Black migrant voices.
