Kevin S. Alejandrez (he/him/el) enjoys collaborating with others in deep thought, discussion, and planning in the process of making the world (and the systems within it) more just and equitable for all. Having worked with local government, nonprofits, schools, and universities, Kevin has developed a strong history of community advocacy, engagement, and organizing. He’s worked with immigrant/Latinx families to develop community gardens, and childhood education programs, improve city parks planning, and more.
This includes organizing laborers around greater worker rights and protections in the State of Oregon and lobbying at the national level for immigration reform. Most recently, Kevin received his doctoral degree in sociology from the University of Kentucky and has served as a consultant for Omnis Educational Services working with education professionals and district personnel in systems evaluation and transformation to improve student outcomes. He excitedly joins the Center for Cultural Power as a 2023 American Council of Learned Societies Leading Edge Fellow.
